KDE4 - Root Actions Servicemenu 2.4.6

Here's something I found to be useful. This KDE package adds a collection of root functions in either Konqueror or Dolphin in KDE3 or KDE4. I'm using it in Slack 13 with KDE4 and Dolphin. It gives my regular user the ability to right-click on folders and files and take root level actions after prompting for the root password.

For KDE4 and Dolphin I created a new ServiceMenus folder:

~.kde/share/kde4/services/ServiceMenus
where ~ is my user home folder

I copied 2 files from the Root_Actions_2.4.6/dolphin-KDE4 folder in the tgz to the new ServiceMenus folder:
10-rootactionsfolders.desktop
11-rootactionsfiles.desktop

I copied 1 file from the Root_Actions_2.4.6/ folder in the tgz to the /usr/local/bin folder:
rootactions-servicemenu.pl

Changing KDE menus is new stuff for me and I hope it helps others with managing their desktops.

Thanks for this Chuck56, saves me having to use su -, for Mandriva users there is a .rpm install at the same location.

Edit: This package is also available from the Contrib Backports repository.
