KDE startup/shutdown errors and color depth 32 not supported

Can someone with knowledge in X server and/or KDE tell me if the errors I get are critical/med/low and how to get rid of them even if they're not such a big deal, but they sure are annoying.

Quote:

xset: bad font path element (#281), possible causes are:
Directory does not exist or has wrong permissions
Directory missing fonts.dir
Incorrect font server address or syntax

waiting for X server to shut down FreeFontPath: FPE "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/" refcount is 2, should be 1; fixing.

And another problem would be: Why isn't 32bits color depth working for me ? I've read in the xorg.conf that 32 bits can be made default and when I do it and try to startx I get an error like this:

Quote:
(==) Using config file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf"
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Given color depth (32) is not supported
(EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting ***
(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.

Fatal server error:
no screens found

Please consult the The X.Org Foundation support
at http://wiki.X.Org
for help.
Please also check the log file at "/var/log/Xorg.0.log" for additional information.

XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0"

I have a nVidia GeForce FX 5600 with 128MB of RAM , AGP 4x shows in the NVIDIA X Server Settings running on kernel 2.6.16.19 with the latest nVidia driver for the 2.6 kernel series.

lspci:
Quote:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV31 [GeForce FX 5600] (rev a1)
Also Direct Rendering: yes , OpenGL/GLX , glxgears gives about 2250 fps. So I think things are running just right. I gave all info I could and know to be sure you have all the details. So ... isn't my video card good enough (??????????????) to work with 32bits depth ??

Thanks in advance, and hope to have a (positive) answer! Cheers.
