Heh, in the beginning using Slack when I failed I went back to more user friendly distros.........that's okay........you will be back when you become bored with Vector. Vector is okay, but, it isn't Slackware.
There is only one perfect distro..................................Slackware!
It took me awhile to get my head wrapped around Slack. By the way this isn't a criticism of you. I went through the same stuff starting out. I've run a lot of distros and I always come back to Slack.
