KDE Panel LCD Clock

This query is so minor, I'm embarrassed to post but here goes...

I like the KDE panel clock to show in LCD style with date and frame. KDE retains all of my appearance information such as windows behaviour, colours, fonts, except the LCD clock. After restarting a KDE session the clock has a flat grey appaearance rather than an LCD look.

I have learnt by trial and error that I can quickly set it back to LCD appearance by opening the KDE Control Centre/Appearance/Style and applying the defaults, but I prefer not to have to do this each time.

Any suggestions for this trivial irritation?

Regards

Normally all your KDE settings are stored between sessions, unless you have some problems with permissions. Can you check that your permissions for ~/.kde/share, ~/.kde/share/config and all files in ~/.kde/share/config are correct (i.e. you are the owner and all files are rw- or rwx?)?

Also, I cannot find anything related to the clock in control center/appearance/style...
