KDE network option
hi there i'm a fedora user and i'm changing over to slackware and i'm just wondering if there is a slackware equivelent of the 'network' button on fedora.
it's problably sometime simple i'm missing but i used to be able to click on network in the start menu in fedora (KDE)and change my network settings and add a new network device, i think it was called redhat network does slackware have this? |
I think you're looking for netconfig (run it from a console).
You could also use ifconfig and route or edit the file /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf |
The tool to change net config is netconfig !
If you want to add more interfaces, edit /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf and rerun the script /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1. |
