KDE login loop
 

I installed Slackware 13.37 32bit.
I get squiggly lines when X starts.

Sorry about the title error.

If X crashes at start,or has lines as you suggested try disabling compositing. Create a file named
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/disable-composite.conf

with this in it:

Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Disable"
EndSection

Reboot and your problems will be solved.
