kde gtk error

so i was playing around and i switched my widget theme to gtk+
and then whenever i startx it says QGtkStyle cannot be used together with the GTK_Qt engine

i know that i have to switch back to oxygen widget theme

i just dont know how since i dont know which file to edit to do this since i can only use the command prompt right now.

and this happened with my root account, so i think that the config files are somewhere else for it im not sure?

It might be in ~/.gtkrc-2.0-kde4. Mine contains:

Code:
include "/usr/share/themes/oxygen-gtk/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"
include "/etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"

gtk-theme-name="oxygen-gtk"

it is not there. i tried to use the find function it found kde files but no config ones.

when i try find / -name "gtk-rc*" it finds some config files but none that look like the above

im lost here i really need to switch back to oxygen through the command line.

when i try bash-3.1# find / -name "gtkrc-2.0-kde4"
i get
find: `/proc/3798/net': Invalid argument

That's because you forgot the dot in front on the name.

It's in the user's home directory. You don't need to search the entire set of file systems (especially not /proc and /sys).

I'm also seeing some Oxygen related stuff in /root/.config/Trolltech.conf.

Why are you using root for your desktop?

There's no reason to login as root do do that. Either use sudo (or su) in a xterm shell or a program such as yumex which will prompt you for root's password when you run it.

you should listen to eeekster, its important. anyways, why don't you while in xfce, open the terminal, and type
Code:
systemsettings
. this will launch kde system settings. then you can change back the oxygen widget theme. then logout and then log back into kde, that simple.
