KDE camera:/ only working as root

I have a Fuji Finepix S2500HD camera which is auto detected by KDE 4.11.4 but will not open as a user. Root has no problem.

The camera is in 40-libgphoto2.rules and is assigned to plugdev. My user is a member of the group plugdev.

Code:
bash-4.2$ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 012: ID 04cb:0209 Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd
Has anyone encountered something similar?

I am not quite sure, but may it be possible that your user also has to be part of the video group?

I gave up and installed digikam, so I will mark this as solved.

You could try Darktable - much easier going than Digikam.

Workflow is so easy - it offers great depth for image manipulation as well.
