KDE 3.5.6 packages?
Does any one know where I can find Slackware Packages for KDE 3.5.6?
I looked on the kde ftp site but there aren't any, there usually are Slackware packages released the same time as other distros. How long would it take me to compile from source? (2 x Pentium 4 3.20GHz 512 megs of RAM.) |
All binaries for Slackware tend to be created by volunteers. Since 3.5.6 has only been out for 3 days, I would keep checking http://www.kde.org/info/3.5.6.php and www.linuxpackages.net to see if one has been created.
Or install from source, 'cos Slackers have that option :) |
I'm currently using Konstruct to build KDE 3.5.6 from source.
Thanks. Regards, Greg |

Is this bug still present?

I'm afraid it is for cdroms. USB drives work fine. Didn't test the floppy drive (does anyone still use those?).

I was looking at those packages on linuxpackages.net, and they seemed to require a lot of other packages from the site as well (like D-Bus, hal, ...). Are there any other packages that are built more the way 3.5.4 was, that don't require any other packages outside slackware-11.0?

You can build them yourself :)

Thanks, I might. I would really rather not compile everything myself, though - that's why I'm looking for packages. :)
