K3B issue

now that ive got this drive mounted i need to burn the data, however, k3b wont load
today its just one issue after another - the last time i installed k3b i had it up and going and with a little tweaking i got it working just right, recently i wiped out my slack drive and started over, but got numerous errors during installation and had to go back and get all the packages i missed

i got k3b installed but everytime i try to load it, it just sits in the kicker bar and then disappears
tried reinstalling but thats a no-go

any tips?

Try running it as root and/or try running it from a terminal window so you'll see some error message (if k3b wants )

I just got KB# from the Slackware - Current and am going to test it, it found my LG CDR and let me set it to 4x burn so will try it with all the new Slack updates I have if ever I have to format the drive they are all there and I can just install all the new pkgs.

Ok, EDIT # 1

Finished up and burnt the First CD, successfully too. Data with the most current for Slackware using Slapt-get and also gFTP of some things that were not included. Suggests you update all your libs and more from the slackware or gnome site,. This is one POWERFUL utility if you can make it work. I have all the latest of the files, so I think maybe that is why it worked for me first try.
