Just installed GAIM 1.1.2 package from Slackware.com, missing protocols.

I downloaded and installed the GAIM 1.1.2 package after removing the older package, and when I run it the only items are the Gadu-Gadu, IRC, Napster, and Zephyr protocols. What's the problem?

When you add a new account, you have no MSN, Yahoo, AIM protocols in menu ?

Nope. Only ones available are the ones I mentioned.

You could delete the ~/.gaim directory and then try running gaim again.

FWIW

I had the same problem and found your thread in a search.
I used removepkg to get rid of the Slackware package,
and then installed gaim-1.1.2.tar.bz2 that I d/led from
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/g...r.bz2?download
and now have all the protocols.

This is the first package from Slackware that has ever given
me a problem. I hope someone knows how to make a
report to Pat V. - I don't but will if someone could tell me
how-to...

Now if I could just figure out how to chat with my buddy
in Japan who uses MSN while I use ICQ with GAIM...
