Jitsi windows unreadable

I recently installed Jitsi, and have found that I can barely read some of the windows. The text is bright yellow on white background. What controls the appearance of these windows? I have already tried deleting the .gtkrc-2.0-kde file in my home directory, but there has been no change whatsoever. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Regards,

Matt

I'm running 2.4.4997 from SlackBuilds under XFCE without issues.

What window manager are you using?

without specifying those windows that will be hard to say. Usually there is a menu something like preferences, or profiles for terminal emulators, others have xresources....
