Is there a java update for 13.1?
My browser keeps complaining that is out of date.

TIA.

That would depend on what version is in your repos. If your browser keeps yelling at you, and you have the most up to date version from your distro's repos, then either wait for the new version to drop, or you could always install the latest version manually from their site.

You can download and upgrade to the JRE package in Slackware 13.37 without worries. The JRE (and the JDK in the /extra directory) are re-packaged binaries and they whould work on both, probably even on Slackware 13.0 or older (but I did not verify that).

Download link for the 32bit version of JRE 1.6u25: http://taper.alienbase.nl/mirrors/sl...u25-i586-1.txz
And the 64bit version of the JRE package is here: http://taper.alienbase.nl/mirrors/sl...5-x86_64-1.txz
