J2EE Application Server on Slackware 9.1?

Has anyone been able to install a J2EE application server on Slackware 9.1? I haven't been able to install the Sun One 1.3 (only available in an RPM) or 1.4 application servers, nor the latest 1.4 J2EE SDK bundle from Sun. I've also tried a couple of versions of JBoss, including compiling from source.

the J2EE package is on the Slackware install cd, under the /d is called 'j2sdk-1_4_2_01-i586-1', for the rpm thing, you could try rpm2tgz and it will build a tgz package for you. Hope this work.

Well, no. Only J2SE is in the j2sdk package. J2EE is not in that package. I'm working on getting some debugging info, which I'll post as soon as I can.
