It's time for a official slackware forum
I only found this site a copy months ago, but I feel its time that slackware comes up with its own forum. If pat lets my host the forum on slackware.com I'll handle all the work. Do you guys and gals think that pat will let me do this?
I just want a way to give back to slackware

No.
This is the officialy sanctioned Slackware forum, as per Pat, who has in the past run a Slackware forum before, and shut it down due to abuse (a quick search of threads in the last week would have revealed this topic came up before very recently).
So, since this *is* the official Slackware forum, I don't see a need for any other 'official' forum.

This IS the official Slackware forum.
If you want to give back, go donate money or buy a shirt.

You can always try to make a Slack-specific forum, but it probably won't gain the critical mass it needs to become the official one. Here, all distros can share solutions with each other.

Closing this because it's going nowhere. Check www.slackware.com/support - Pat himself states that
Quote:
We provide very limited installation support and technical support to our users through email, and only if time and resources allow. Probably the best place to turn for free support from the Slackware user community is the Slackware forum on LinuxQuestions.org:
LinuxQuestions.org - "Where newbies come for help!"
This site runs our favorite Slackware questions forum. If you have general Slackware-related questions or need help, this is a great place to join in discussions with a user community that's friendly and eager to help.

We are the official forum, the rest are simply stand alone help sites.
