Issue installing Google Hangouts plugin in Chrome

Hello guys, new Slacker here. Trying to install the Google Hangouts plugin in Google Chrome but I'm running 64 bit. When I looked around on SlackBuilds, the shell script there was only for the i386 (32bit) binary. The amd64 binary was unsupported. It said I needed to do a multilib setup. I know this is going to involve installing the 32 bit binary but how do I know I have the 32 bit libraries that I'll need? How do I go about installing this?
Running Slackware 14.1

Thanks,

Simon

hi Simon,

to do a multilib setup, you have just to follow what's written here, upgrading glibc/gcc, installing the compat32-tools and the stuff in ./slackware64-compat32/

http://www.slackware.com/~alien/multilib/

after having done that, in the specific case of google-talkplugin, you don't need to follow what's written in the sections "Adding 32-bit programs", "Running 32-bit programs" and "Compiling 32-bit programs", but just use normally the SlackBuild on SBo, that repackages the deb labelled "amd64" (don't get misleaded by that, it still needs multilib).

Molto grazie ponce, it works well

Just a few questions (and I'm just curious), how is this package a multilib? Just a little confused since it says 64-bit on SlackBuilds and it's amd64. Also, how do I know if I need a 64-bit that may require multilib or a 32-bit binary? And if I need a 32-bit binary, how would I install it? Just with installpkg now that I've updated everything or do I need to run that script that's mentioned on that webpage?

Thanks!

Simon
