isapnp modem trouble

Hello All!

Here's the scoop:

I use isapnp to load up my modem. I used pnpdump and uncommented out all the necessary lines - 0x3e8 and IRQ 3. The isapnp tells me there are no conflicts and everything is ok.

However, it does not show up anywhere in the /proc directory, nor can does the stty command recognize it.

What is wrong?

Is it the modem or isapnp??

i haven't seen an isa card in a very long time.
ppp doesn't work with it?

Yep, ISA seems that its at its breath, but linux somehow has this nack for reviving the dead.

Actually, I think I got it working now. I had to reset the setserial to configure the port properly.
