ISA VT8237 Bridge with No ISA Slots? Confused.
It has been my understanding that ISA slots are the larger slots on older motherboards. After much time investigating my kernel and hardware for speedups and bottle necks, I'm stuck on what to make of this.

Little info.
Definition: Refers to the Peripheral Bus Controller component of a Pentium chipset, responsible for implementing a PCI-to-ISA bridge function and for managing the ISA bus and all the ports. See also Northbridge.
You may not have pci or isa slots on the mb, but this would also work with the onboard hard drive, ethernet, video controllers and such on your motherboard. |
