There's a curious numerology to this. The amount goes south with a 404 err... I mean number of patrons. And before there were a couple 420s with different donation amounts. Maybe we could try for 420 again.
IMHO, while the dollar amount PV receives per month is the end game, we should focus on encouraging thousands of contributors at $1or $2 per month. I believe there would be less month to month fluctuations with contributors dropping out.

That's probably going to be pretty hard at this point: remember, Patrick didn't want to promote the Patreon page until the 15.0 release, but it was just 'discovered' early in the wild. It would be much easier to implement your idea when 15.0 comes out, or when there's a beta, even. I imagine this forum will see a wealth of new lurkers then, so some work will have to be put in place.
I don't think we need another sticky though - we have eight already - a Patreon sticky would get lost in there. It would actually be better for members to just continually bump one thread. Pat should also put a link to the Patreon page in the 15.0 release announcement - that's very important since the announcement will be linked to around the internet and C+P'd by several publications.
