Yes it is. I was going to wait to announce it until I had a few more planned updates done in -current that would be getting things closer to an initial 15.0 beta release, but since it's been spotted in the wild I'll confirm it.

This is great news for those that like Patreon (and Slackware in general), and for others assuming we can still send via paypal and postal/snail mail?

PS: Just added this news to the support Slackware thread over at Salix.

Okie-doke! Signed up :-) was going to anyways since rworkman confirmed it (and I browsed his facebook profile to convince myself it was indeed him), but even better getting authentication from the BDFL himself. Thanks, Patrick!

Regarding Facebook, I've frequently wished for an rn/trn-like interface for it, and started writing one a few years back to wrap its "simple" mobile interface (which uses no javascript; straightforward scrape+get/post). Gave up when rumors circulated Facebook would be deprecating that interface, but it's been years and it's still around, so maybe that's a project worth picking back up.

(They have a "Graph" API, but it seems oriented towards spidering public content, not well-suited to making a user-centric client.)

Thank you Mr. Volkerding. I was waiting for this confirmation before donating via patreon. Also, this may be a bit off topic, but thank you for continuing to maintain this amazing project. I love Slackware. it is the distro that caused me to stop distro-hopping and I now use it as my operating system of choice.

Excellent, I just signed up. I hope this will avoid another situation like what happened last year and just let you do your thing.

That's a four pack of Guinness Foreign Extra!

OP, you should really include a link in your first post to Pat's confirmation.

Thumbs up

I'm on sketchy hotel WiFi for the next little while. I'm on holidays. I'll become a Patron in mid August.
Thanks for confirming your account, Mr. Volkerding.

I did! Seems we're all missing this, though:
