Is there a way to install Krita 2.8.3 in Slackware 14.1? (rsync stops with error)

Hi.

Is there a safe and stable way to install Krita 2.8.3 in Slackware 14.1? I really love the installation that is right now along with underlying simplicity, transparency and stability in Slackware 14.1.

Regards.

Edit: I am trying to update to Alien's KDE 4.13.3 but rsync stops after downloading several packages. I have posted the output in the latest post below.

My KDE 4.13.3 package set for Slackware 14.1 has Calligra 2.8.5 (which comtains Krita). If you want this, you'll have to install all these packages - just installing the calligra package won't work. See http://taper.alienbase.nl/mirrors/al...e/14.1/4.13.3/

Or you can of course build calligra from source yourself.

Hi Eric..

As with calligra suite, can krita alone be compiled from source? and if it can be, would there be any problematic issues? Because the only app that I use among calligra is krita, and I would like to update it quite often. Is there some workaround?

Hi.

So, I am trying to upgrade KDE to 4.13.3 and rsync stops at this:

Code:
4.13.3/x86_64/kde/kde-workspace-4.11.11-x86_64-2alien.lst
4.13.3/x86_64/kde/kde-workspace-4.11.11-x86_64-2alien.meta
4.13.3/x86_64/kde/kde-workspace-4.11.11-x86_64-2alien.txt
4.13.3/x86_64/kde/kde-workspace-4.11.11-x86_64-2alien.txz
rsync: read error: Connection timed out (110)
rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at io.c(802) [receiver=3.1.0]
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (73038 bytes received so far) [generator]
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(226) [generator=3.1.0]
root@mordor:/home/gothmog# rsync -av --exclude=x86 rsync://alien.slackbook.org/alien/ktown/14.1/4.13.3 .
Internet is working fine. It says that bandwidth is capped and select mirrors but I can't figure out how. I launched this code:

Code:
rsync -av --exclude=x86 rsync://alien.slackbook.org/alien/ktown/14.1/4.13.3 .
