Is there a slackware version of nc with -k option?

I'm doing some testing using nc (netcat), but each time a client disconnects nc terminates. Web searching gives the advice to use the -k option to stay connected, but the version of nc on Slackware 14.2 (which is 1.10) does not support the -k option. SlackBuild's version is even older: 0.7.1. It looks like Slackware Current is still 1.10.

Is there a Slackware version out there somewhere with the -k option? Or a version with -k that will work on Slackware? Or is there a workaround using the 1.10 version that will let it stay connected?

You may try ncat (it comes with package nmap)

It supports option -k:
Code:
-k, --keep-open Accept multiple connections in listen mode

Well, that was simple! I thought nc and ncat were the same program (like mail and mailx), but I never thought to actually check. Yes, ncat does work with -k and was already installed on my computer. Thanks!
