Is slackware64-14.0 so new that it doesn't have patches yet?

I am upgrading to slackware64-14.0. Usually, when I am done installing all the packages in the a-y slackware sets, I check the patches directory and install the patches... but I can't find any patches at the slackware mirror nearest me (slackware.oregonstate.edu) Is it so perfect that there are none?

It was only released 10 days ago so no, it isn't too perfect for patches, but yes, it is too new for any (critical) patches to be needed right now.

Patches will come when major bugs are found, but usually not sooner for the mainstream releases.

If you need more up-to-date software you might want to switch to the -Current tree for slackpkg and keep track of the system packages in that aspect.

Slackware 14.0 will have security patches and Slackware-current will start to move again. I am thoroughly enjoying my new Slackware 14.0 systems. Mr. Volkerding and the Slackware team deserve some down time.
