Is Slackware booting already optimized?

I've been reading about optimizing the boot sequence in Linux. The article doesn't apply perfectly to Slackware, but it's interesting nevertheless:

My questions:

(1) Do you think this optimization process is worth the trouble?
(2) Is off-the-shelf Slackware already optimized in this fashion?
(3) What's a Slackware equivalent of chkconfig --list ?

Thanks

(1) No, it is a sysvinit method, Slackware uses BSD style init
(2) No, it does not apply to Slackware
(3) The list of services started on boot is accessible through pkgtool :: setup :: services.
