Is KDE 4.1.3 in the schedule?

KDE 4.1.3 has been released more than one week. But it's not in testing folder yet. Is there a schedule about replace the older 4.1.2 with 4.1.3? Thanks a lot!

Yeah, the schedule is when Pat is good and ready. Slackware doesn't follow a development schedule.

Uhm...
I hope Pat will release 4.1.3 soon...
I checked CHANGELOG of 4.1.3, and found a lot of fix about KHTML. Does it means Konqueror can display more website properly? Haha... I like Konqueror!

KDE4 is still in /testing, so it isn't going to get the same level of attention that mainline packages will have. Whenever KDE4 moves into the stable branch (which I can't imagine will be anytime soon), then we will see more vigilant updates.

Beyond that, KDE4 is still a moving target in terms of stability and polish. It isn't always the best idea to jump ahead to the latest release with software like that, as you might be worse off than with the older version you know is working well.

And he won't put his stamp of approval on something that is still buggy.

Exactly, and rightly so. I've played around with KDE4 and "buggy" is a good word for it LOL.

Which is why it's in testing and will remain there for the foreseeable future. I don't think that it being in testing has anything to do with when it gets updated though. I suspect the latest kernel upgrade took time away from other things and KDE4 will be updated shortly - if you believe those on the team who say they use it regularly.
