IMHO this breaks the KISS principle, but YMMV.
Having to constantly edit rc.firewall with nano or gedit and replacing the file in /etc/rc.d is not as simple which needs root access and restarting iptables so the changes are updated. The GUI allows simple navigation and updates everything for me. IOW, convenience....I only needed nodejs-8.16.1-x86_64-1.txz using the SlackBuild from AlienBob site and updating the version. Really simple I tell ya!!! Everyone definition of KISS is not the same, in this case this is KISS for me. I even created iptables-web-gui-1.0-x86_64-1.txz for easy installation.
