Check your iptables command line for double dashes i.e. - are you sure you have "--mac-source" and not "-mac-source" in the line ?

Now i am getting this one

iptables -A INPUT -m mac 00:1e:ec:76:07:f1 -i eth0 -j DROP
Bad argument `00:1e:ec:76:07:f1'
Try `iptables -h' or 'iptables --help' for more information.

I think you mean this :
Code:
iptables -A INPUT -m mac --mac-source 00:1e:ec:76:07:f1 -i eth0 -j DROP
As in your example you are not supplying the --mac-source argument.
