iproute2 package

I donloaded iproute2 package for Slack 9.0
I want to use htb.init, but it doesnt work.
I found somethig on http://www.knowplace.org/shaper/requirements.html

iproute2 - note that the included tc binary typically does NOT support HTB. - that's for the original package

do you know does the slack pack can be used for htb.init, or I have to compile everything

btw, with cbq.init everything is fine, but somebody told me that htb.init is more sophisticated and works better with small speed traffic
