ip problem with wireless card

I have an internal wireless card in my laptop, the card is detected, the card detect the access point and other things but it can't get an ip address. I have tried dhcpd eth1, I Tried to modified the resolv.conf file to put the namesavers and other thing but doesn't work, someone help me please!!!

have you tried setting the access point as your gateway?

I tried too

route add default gw ip.ip.ip.ip dev eth1

but doesn't works too

Try searching: dhcp ip problem 10 in slackware forum, i got some posts there that might help you

Forgot to say, you can assing a static ip and try to ping your router to see if the card is working ok,.
