Interpretation of KDE Crash ?

Hi All,
On my Slackware12 system running the 2.6.24.3-smp kernel, Qt-3.3.8 and running KDE-3.5.9, I have a problem with KDE crashing if I try to RENAME a File or Folder on any partition other than Home??
(KDE renames beautifully on it's home partition, this error is strictly with any other partition/removable media).

The Kcrash output shows the following ... I have google'd for an answer, but have not found any relevant results; so I was wondering if someone could please give me some interpretation of what the error means, so that I can attempt to rectify it.

p.s. Could the fact that I have the Qt4-4.3.4 package installed as well as the Qt-3.3.8 package be causing this error?
