Dear friends,

I've just got a Sony SVP11218SCB version C60C1DZN with a Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 in it.
I saw several post regarding driver issue for this card, I've tried to use a recent firmware from here, and windows driver using ndiswrapper. Nothing worked.

The weird thing is that the module iwlwifi is already present but does not work.

I'm afraid I have to rebuild my kernel as mentioned here.

The last time I did this was 10 years ago on a 2.4 kernel, so I need someone to tell me the procedure.

Use a config from the /testing/source/config-testing-3.12/ directory in the Slackware 14.1 installation media and follow this guide from SlackDocs http://docs.slackware.com/howtos:sla...kernelbuilding

It worked like a charm.
I got the kernel 3.12.6 and can use my wifi card now.
