What is the package you are trying to install? What are you typing to run installpkg ? What does installpkg do / not do ? What messages do you get from installpkg?
Its trivial to add it yourself to the bash-completion-1.1-pkgtools_tgxz.diff patch and then rebuild the package. You only need to add an 'l'.
FWIW lzma completion is added in upstream git. But since Slackware doesnt use lzma compressed archives it wasnt added in the above patch.
