erm.. download it again / from somewhere else.... seems pretty obvious i'd have thought. if it says it's a corrupt file, i'd believe it.

alright there arn't any more links from winehq that have the right file other than sourceforge. well i'll download it again using netscape instead of konqueror and see what happens. but in the mean time i got another question i want to put icons on my desktop that take u straight to the contents of a cd and a floppy one icon that takes u to the cd and one that takes u to a floppy. the reason i want to do this is cause im a total newbie and i put a cd full of mp3's in but when i open a player and i tel i to go to dev/cdrom it dosn't do anything like it wont play. so i want to make a link tha takes me staright to the contents of whatever is on the medium so i can run it from there. how would i do that?

no idea, that's a window manager issue, and you've not said which one you are using.

Download from the following site:
www.linuxpackages.net

This site should be your first site to check if you're a slack user. Hope this helps.
