Installing the 4 CDs
Hello, I don't want to waste money on 4 CDs. It it possible to download the 4 .isos, extract them, put them all on 1 DVD, and then install?

You really only need one CD to install Slack. The other CDs are full of extras.

CDs vs DVDs
Yes, you can do it your way. But you are better off downloading the tree you want, stable or current, less source, pasture, etc, then making the iso from that.

Bill

You really only need the first two CDs. The second CD is mainly Gnome and KDE. The last two (disks 3 and 4) are just sources.

Maybe it's that thing with the foot. You know, the one that Linus guy hates.
