I currently have RH9 and want to install Slack 9 as my 2nd distro. I have 35gb of unpartitioned space at the end of my hdd. My ques is how do I create a boot and root partition in this unused space with fdisk. I tried it and when I created a 100mb partition for boot and the rest of my space was marked unusable. How exactly do I do it ? do I create them as primary or logical? Also I can use my current swap partititon right?
As Trickykid mentioned - use cfdisk to create your Root partition - During the install Slack will automatically recognise your curent Swap partition and ask you whether you want to use it for Slack aswell - just say yes.
