Installing Slack 8 with splited partitions

I've being using slack for a long time now, and since i never used it in any "production server" i always installed everything in /, but now i need to install it with /usr, /home, /var, /boot, /swap, /tmp... you know what i mean, but i looked for it in slack's installation and couldn't find it, is there a of installing it directly in split partitions, or will i have to install it in /, and then do a mk in every single partition i need ? if this is the only way, would you guys give a hand ?? thanks in advance, and sorry if this was a completely useless topic. :(

during the install, just partition the hard drive accordingly, then during the install, it actually should ask you for each partition to setup a mount point, then installing the necessary packages that belong there.
