Are you sure the module isn't loaded? Run lsmod to check. Have you put your network settings in /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf?

That was a good question, will have to check that as soon as i come home, ahh and yes, now ive gotten a different problem, but that i will post a new thread about to keep this thread to the problem, thx again will try it when I come home.

(sk98lin should have been detected by udev...)

anyway: remove your entries from rc.modules. edit rc.inet1.conf according to your needs and make aliases in etc/rc.d/rc.modules.d
