when i installed this card in slackware 11.0 it was not recognised by xorg.conf it would just hang after using init 4 command i had to edit the xorg.conf file and replace driver with the "mga" one it then worked without a problem,i didnt know how to edit xorg.conf from a prompt so had to use another distro live cd to edit it...

direct rendering enabled as well after issuing load "dri" command
and adding the following Section "DRI" Mode 0666...

score from glx gears is 5.0 secs 210 fps without direct rendering it was 98.0 fps.. running on agp 2.0.. with a pentuim 3 800..

regards

adrian
