Installing Kernel 2.6.11.8 w/ SlackWare

Hello,

Quick questions:

1. Is it possible to install kernel 2.6.11.8 during an installation of Slackware 10.1, by using CD's?

2. How would you do that?

3. During configuration of the kernel, where could I find an exact list of the questions regarding hardware settings, etc, that I would be asked for so that I could be prepared ahead of time?

Nope..........you'll need to install default kernel and then upgrade it yourself

3. There are no 'questions' during a kernel configuration. You simply browse menues and select drivers for your current hardware.

...or everything is a question.. ('make config')

the menu-based configuration utilities are much better though.. I always use 'make menuconfig' there are X ones too.. but I don't see the need and I've had problems trying to use them.

I also don't have the option on my server, which doesn't have X.
