Installing Counter-Strike Steam

Hi, I emulated windows using wine by doing the following:

modprobe binfmt_misc

Then added the following to “/etc/fstab”:
none /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc binfmt_misc 0 0

Then added the following to “/etc/rc.rc.local”:
echo ':windows:M::MZ::/path/to/wine:' > /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc/register
echo ':windowsPE:M::PE::/path/to/wine:' > /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc/register

*.exe files work fine. However, I decided to install steam and try running Counter-Strike in wine because I've heard it works just as good as it does in Cedega. The steam file is a *.msi file and wine returns an error saying that it can't run the binary file. What should I do?

Try getting the msiinst.exe package from the web and installing it with wine before using any .msi executables.

I executed it with msiexec took provided by wine and it installed. However, the fonts are very crappy if visible at all: http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/9079/ss0ae5.gif

I installed Tahoma.ttf globally and it's recognized by OpenOffice, but still no luck.
