Installing asterisk. never finishes up!

I am to installing asterisk downloaded from Slackbuilds on Slackware14.
ran SlackBuild and installed the tgz from /tmp by "slackpkg install".
At first I saw exotic characters on the terminal and then, It tried to grep some characters like "]" and did not finish even after 30 minutes!
How can I detect the problem?

I do not know what the problem is. I just posted one time. I had this problem one more time again. when I was posting with lynx I think. I thought mistake made by me because of using lynx. But now I have posted by Firefox!

I think the problem raises when I push "preview" button!

Solved!
insallpkg is used to install .tgz packages.
From freenode:##slackware:
Quote:
< TommyC> Sefid_par: slackpkg is only for the packages in the official Slackware repositories.
So you have to manually run: `installpkg <foo>' (<foo> is asterisk in your case).
`slackpkg install' basically just downloads the package and uses `installpkg' on it.
