You must give the kernel to use and the drive letter to the rawrite command:
Code:

e:\rootdisk\rawrite bare.i a:
Why don't you boot directly from the cd?

You don't appear to have read any documentation before attempting to install Slack. This is one of the most intuitive installs there is but it has messed up for you. I suggest you spend half an hour reading the install docs then start again.

YES, the documentation that comes with the basic CD (Readme.txt and Slackware.howto, just to begin).
Slackware comes with maybe the best "essential" documentation : you just have to be a very little patient and forget hurry.
Please give a look at the book : "Slackware Linux Essentials". It is available for free at the site www.slackware.org as a pdf. But consider the idea to buy it ;)
