installed ssl vpn plugin to firefox and broke my network
yesterday i had a fully functional wireless network connection on my slack 12.2 box.

whilst trying to access my works network through a vpn tunnel i was prompted to install an ssl vpn plugin by firefox which i did.

immediately after this i have been unable to get a network connection at all.

i am confused as my config files "/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf" etc all seem to be unchanged yet the box can not see the network.

can anyone point me in a direction please?

Can you connect to the internet with other programs than firefox? From your post I suspect the answer is no, but I just want to make sure I understand what the problem is.

Can you ping an outside network? Run the following code in a terminal and post back the results

ping -c4
if that doesn't work, run

ping -c4

also, please post the output from

ifconfig -a
route -n

These last commands need to be run as root.

thanks for the response janhe, however I have decided to re-install as I had a few other niggling problems.

sorry if i have wasted your time.
