Installation from usbdisk
Hello everyone,
I have problem with installation slackware from usbdisk.
I prepare my pendrive using LinuxLive USB Creator 2.8.23.
Slackware setup launching very good but in SOURCE MEDIA SELECTION have a big problem.
In the Internet I search this instruction
""Boot the machine using the USB drive.

Before running setup, look up (with fdisk -l) which device your USB drive is. When installing, choose "Install from a Slackware CD or DVD". Then select the "manual" option, then the "custom" option. Enter /dev/sdX1 (as shown by "fdisk -l") and installation will proceed as when installing from a DVD. "

and I follow then.

I use source /dev/sdb1 and when press ENTER i have MOUNT ERROR.

Thanks for help

On any Slackware install dvd (or cd I guess), you will find a directory called 'usb-and-pxe-installers'. Inside that you will find a script called ''. Use that to create your Boot-USB device.

when I installed from USB I booted from the USB then, before I ran the installer, I created a directory under /mnt/ called something like /mnt/install then mounted the USB stick there. Then from the installer, selected the option to install from a pre-mounted directory.
I learned this from a thread on here but I can't find that thread now.
