installation and making USB bootstick instead of floppy

I want to install a the latest version of Slackware. In the setup program, I eventually get to the section " Make a boot disk", and one of the alternatives is to create a boot disk on /dev/fd0, a floppy. I don't have a floppy drive and I want to create a boot stick on a USB memory stick. I'm running a dual boot system so I want to be very careful before I mess around.

Thanks in advance for any help

Hmmm ...

If i remember well, When you finish the installation, Slackware 13.37 asks if you want to make an USB boot key, not a floppy.

Thanks animersistance for taking the time to reply

Actually what happened was that when installed, they asked me if I wanted to make a boot memory stick. There was no option for floppy. I think the documentation is not quite up to date on this matter.

However, the boot stick did not work. It may have been a hardware problem. I was able to get around this by making going into my previous root partition and running lilo dual booting into the newly installed partition. I was able to do this on the memory stick.

I still have a problem get my fonts and X up and running. I'll ask on another thread tomorrow if I still have problems
