Well I have used ndiswrapper on fedora core but do to my lack of linux elite-ness I had to have my instructor set it up since it involved recompiling the kernel and all this other stuff. I will look into it again but like I said it did work fine off the Live CD originaly so perhaps it could be something else?

sometimes , u need to recompile ur driver & install it again after kernel recompiling
such as Alsa & r8169

Well right now I just went into the kernel and selected more wireless/netowrking drivers and stuff so I will see if this does the trick. Id like to avoid ndiswrapper if I can:D

hey guys, sorry to jump in midstream. I too have a broadcomm 43xx wireless (dell truemobile)

anyways, you can get it working with stock linux drivers. AFAIK you need bcm43xx (its in the kernel wireless options)

I have a thread here about how I got both bcm43xx and winblows drivers / ndiswrapper to work.

there are also some good links to the tutorials i used there.

Well I suppose one other option I do have is to install Slax. After all BT is based off of Slax and I think it even has yum so that would be an easy way for me to get all the apps. Not to mention that it would also be much easier then going the Gentoo rout with having to do all that building and putsing around.
