Install slackware over SSH?
Hello.
Im about to install a slackware server. The problem is i dont have a monitor for the moment. Is there any chance there might be a way to do it without? Im only installing slackware13 disk 1. When I have booted from this, can i install and start sshd before I enter the partition table and the "setup"? Cause if I can, i could install it by using ssh from my laptop. any suggestions? |

I found an even easier way to do it. Booting up from the CD, pressing enter to boot kernel and enter on keyboardmap-question. after login then write.
dhcpcd eth0 chmod +x /etc/rc.d/rc.dropbear - dont actually think you need to do this. then ./etc/rc.d/rc.dropbear start then you got the ssh server up and running. after login, type: source /etc/profile and then you can run SETUP Easy way to install slackware without monitor. |
The problem is, how do you see what you type if you do not have that monitor attached? Blind-typing is not all that great. But yes, it will work.
