Install slackware from harddisk

Hi all,

Is there any HOWTO about that? I have to set up a server for my project, in which the PC does not equipped with any cd-rom drives and the harddisk is already in RFS format.

Thanks.

Well, take a look here: http://www.slackware.com/book/index....urce=x209.html
If the disk is already in ReiserFS format then you can install slackware without formatting the disk and that way you won't need a spare disk or partition.
Just when it ask where to get the files from (SOURCE in Setup program) say from hard disk (be sure to mount it before beggining the installation program).

Now I face another problem. The PC is in my school and the disk is blank, i.e. no any other OS. It has an ethernet card connected to Internet. How can I get all the packages in slackware-current directory to the harddisk and start installation?

Thanks.

I believe there is a project on sourceforge.net that provides scripts to do a ftp installation of slackware
