install scsi

hi

got an Adaptec AHA-2940U2/U2W scsi controller.....
how do i get i working, and how do i mount the disks?

You can use the adaptec.s kernel from the Slackware CD to boot if you want to install Slack on a scsi disk, or "modprobe aic7xxx" to just be able to mount a scsi disk.
scsi disks are named /dev/sdaX /dev/sdbX etc.

well. got the disk up and running. just one problem remains. they will not boot after the installation is complete

You should install the same kernel you used for the installation (adaptec.s) when prompted about what kernel to use.

Did you set your BIOS to boot from scsi? Also during boot when prompted press Ctrl-A to see you Adaptec controller settings
