http://www.linuxjournal.com/content/...-and-community It is possible to get this chip set working, I have no idea if any slackers have it going. It will run under Ubuntu, I know that is not your distro of choice. Here is a link that can help. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1253406 There is a lot more on ubuntuforums.org Here is a link on how to compile the driver for Debain, and its derivatives. http://go.mydellmini.com/?id=258X408...sb-boot-4.html I have also seen posts saying Mandriva will run out of the box on the GMA500 chip set. I have a HP Mini 210, and it came with a standard Intel chip set. Best of luck with it. |

Thank you camorri for you answer
The articles are very interesting, unfortunately left INTEL GMA500. I tried to compile following your information you sent me, but I could not compile the driver (try only once). I will try again this weekend and I tell her I succeeded. |
